About theRide:
theRide introduces a progressive new style to modern Christian music. Incorporating biblically charged lyrics with technical instrumentation, the members of theRide have a heart to inspire all listeners to worship God. Their combined musical inspirations have brought together such influences as the Newsboys, Dave Matthews Band, Switchfoot and David Crowder Band.
In May of 2004, theRide completed their first demo. The combination of three originals briefly taps into the band's unique sound. Shortly thereafter, theRide was invited to play at "Creation Northwest", the west-coast's largest Christian music festival.
In August of 2004, theRide entered the prestigious Gospel Music Associations "Music in the Rockies" band competition and took second place During the competition theRide was chosen as a spotlight band to represent the top tier of the musical contestants. This entailed playing multiple concerts at Cafe Estes and being featured in various Music in the Rockies advertisements and promotional materials for the 2005 event.
